Analyzing your gas and electricity usage helps our team at QuitCarbon to tailor our recommendations for your home and appliance upgrades — and estimate potential cost and energy savings.
The easiest way to provide your utility data is to link your utility account directly in your Home Profile. It's a secure process, and we don't get access to your online account or see your password. Having trouble? Get step-by-step guidance here.
If you're unable to link your utility account directly in your Home Profile, you can also follow the instructions below to download your usage data and send it to us directly. We'll happily enter the info into our system to complete your home profile and customize your home evaluation.

If your utility is not on this list, you can choose from the following options.
- Download your utility history:
Go to your utility's website and download a .csv file of your utility usage from the past year. Sometimes it downloads as a .zip file, separating gas from electric; you'll see it has the meter number, when the reading was taken, your usage, and how much you paid.
Please attach these files to an email and send to HelpUsQuit@QuitCarbon.com or attach them in response to an email you have received from us.
If you can't download data from the entire year, you may be able to download individual months of utility bills. If this is the case, please download as many as you can from the past year, and send them to HelpUsQuit@QuitCarbon.com. We'll enter this into your home profile!
- Take photos of your past bills:
Snap photos of your past utility bills showing your gas and electric usage for the month – preferably winter utility bills, but any will do! If not the full year, we'll estimate the rest of the year based on similar homes in your area.
Please note that some bills have a bar graph or table showing your past year of usage; this is super helpful as well! Attach the pictures in an email to HelpUsQuit@QuitCarbon.com.
Note: We can still complete your home assessment without your actual utility bill history. We'll estimate for your energy use based on similar homes in your area.
