The City of Palo Alto Utilities is offering a rebate for homeowners who replace their existing gas water heater with a qualifying high-efficiency heat pump water heater. This rebate can significantly offset the cost of your home upgrade.
- The heat pump water heater must meet Product Tier 3 or higher to qualify for the rebate.
- Rebates are only available for replacing existing gas water heaters, not for new construction projects.
- The City also offers a direct-install heat pump water heater program with savings of up to $6,200.
