The City of San Jose is offering a rebate of up to $1,000 for the installation of a heat pump water heater. This rebate is available to owners of buildings located in Disadvantaged Communities or to occupants of buildings enrolled in a Qualifying Public Assistance Program.
- Owners of buildings in the city of San Jose, CA are eligible to apply.
- Buildings must be in a Disadvantaged Community (as defined by CalEPA) or occupants must be enrolled in a Qualifying Public Assistance Program.
- Either the building owner or a tenant must provide proof of public assistance program enrollment to ElectricHomes@sanjoseca.gov.
- The Equity Community Incentives will be available for building units with occupants enrolled in public assistance programs.
