The City of San Jose is offering a rebate of up to $500 to help homeowners and renters in the area upgrade to more energy-efficient and climate-friendly induction or electric stoves. This rebate is available for buildings located in Disadvantaged Communities or for residents enrolled in qualifying public assistance programs.
- The rebate is currently operating on a waitlist system until more funds become available.
- Owners of buildings in the City of San Jose, CA are eligible to apply.
- The rebate covers both induction and electric resistance cooktops.
- Buildings must be in a Disadvantaged Community or have occupants enrolled in a Qualifying Public Assistance Program.
- Proof of public assistance program enrollment must be sent to ElectricHomes@sanjoseca.gov.
