The Santa Barbara EV Charger Rebate is a program offered by Santa Barbara Clean Energy to encourage the installation of Level 2 electric vehicle chargers in residential homes. This rebate provides up to $300 for the purchase and installation of a plug-in Level 2 charger. For income-qualified residents, the rebate amount increases to up to $400. To be eligible, applicants must be Santa Barbara Clean Energy customers, which includes most City of Santa Barbara residents. The rebate applies to both new and pre-owned electric vehicles purchased or leased from certified dealerships. Purchases and projects completed after July 1, 2024, are eligible for this rebate.
