Get started with QuitCarbon to claim this rebate!

  1. Get your free, custom analysis on upgrading your home to clean and safe electric appliances (sometimes for free, after rebates!)

  2. Allow QuitCarbon to connect you with a vetted local contractor - and we'll benchmark the bid to ensure you are getting the right work for a fair price.

Rebate Terms

To qualify for the rebate, you must first set up a Home Profile with QuitCarbon and complete our evaluation process by adding information about your home and appliances, as well as linking your gas and electric utility accounts. We recommend that you meet with a QuitCarbon electrification planner to discuss the evaluation and best opportunities for electrification.

Projects must be completed by a contractor referred by QuitCarbon. Rebates will be paid when the work is completed and the contractor has been paid by the client for their services.

Rebate is $100 for the first electrification measure (heat pump, heat pump water heater, electrical upgrades to support conversion of gas appliances to electric, solar / batteries, or insulation) and $200 for the second, limited to two measures and $300 per customer.

Total rebates per home are limited to two projects and $300.

This rebate is not applicable for participants of city-sponsored programs, such as (but not limited to):

  • City of Palo Alto emergency water heater replacement Program
  • City of San Francisco heat pump water heater Direct Install Program
